This meeting is part of our ‘On the Road’ series which follows successful events in Brussels, Miami, Dubai and Shanghai in recent years. We feel this is an exciting opportunity for members to learn about some of the trends coming out of one of the world’s most innovative business hubs. The San Francisco and the Silicon Valley regions are the birthplace of the sharing economy which have taken the world by storm and is at the forefront of the technology industry. There are many fascinating businesses, opportunities and ideas which we feel can you give you an insight into the future of your own country.
Ticket numbers are almost sold out so please therefore be sure to confirm your interest and ticket ASAP to avoid being disappointed, as all IR events have been sold out for the last 2 years. The ‘On the Road’ events have a much greater focus on the social program than the annual conference and this already includes the impressive sky bar of the Marriott Marquis for the opening drinks reception, a dinner cruise along San Francisco Bay and a trip to the beautiful Sausalito. Other exciting plans will be shared in the coming weeks including restaurant venues, a complete entertainment guide, pre-event golf tournament and many group excursions.
Typically such events have members from around 40 plus jurisdictions. Due to this location, we feel this is a wonderful opportunity for all IR member interested in developing relationships with firms in both North & South America.

Wednesday May 18th
The opening drinks reception will be hosted on the first evening of the event. It will be held at the iconic View Lounge atop the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. It will include drinks and canapés accompanied by the most awe inspiring views the city has to offer.
Thursday May 19th
Presentations and networking day within the Marriott Marquis.
Attendees will hear from the IR management team, local business leaders about opportunities in the area and interesting trends which will be seen globally in future years plus professional speakers on firm management / business development issues. Evening Meal outside of the hotel, as usual we will choose a memorable venue providing attendees with a wonderful experience of the city by night.
Friday May 20th
May Break Out meetings during the AM.
Multiple meeting spaces will be available for the practice area and special interest groups. Your meeting participation will be coordinated to ensure you have maximum time for networking and connect with the firms most relevant to your own.
