It was wonderful to welcome so many of you to my home city of Amsterdam. This was our most ambitious event to date with a record number of 370 attendees, representing 80+ jurisdictions around the world. With an extended programme running from Friday to Tuesday evening.
The conference offered a social programme that included private dinners, golf, wine tasting, drinks reception, gala dinner, disco and even some new additions such as escape room experiences, a martial arts workshop and canal cruises. Whilst professionally we had breakout sessions, workshops, working breakfast & lunches, with a variety of high profile speakers.
The theme of this year’s event was ‘The Power of Storytelling’ and we attempted to intertwine this conceptually through art, music, performance and professional content. Our intention to reach you on a variety of different levels both consciously and subconsciously about identifying and sharing your own story to listening to the stories which exist around you.

Please note our events for 2020 are Miami 22nd – 25th January, Bangkok 22nd – 25th April, Zurich 2nd – 4th July and London 12th – 15th September. We hope to see many of you there. Join us on a morning walking tour around Amsterdam to explore the sights and architecture the city has to offer.

Multiple meetings / breakout sessions for our various working groups; dedicated meetings for the regional, firm management and women in leadership groups; and workshops on different topics. Rising Stars will have a separate programme.
MONDAY EVENING - Evening Meal, The National Maritime Museum
Luxury networking dinner at The National Maritime Museum. A unique location on the water in the centre of Amsterdam, The National Maritime Museum is one of the largest and most prominent maritime collections in the world.
Tuesday October 29th
TUESDAY DAYTIME - Presentations and Networking, Beurs van Berlage
Hear from a selection of high-profile speakers relating to the event’s theme. Plus the IR management team on group development in 2019 and upcoming plans.
TUESDAY EVENING 17:00 - 19:00 - Closing Drinks Reception, Beurs van Berlage
After the event, members staying in the city or with a late flight are invited to join us for goodbye drinks in the art gallery. An opportunity to view pieces by Professor Wayne Quilliam, one of Australia’s preeminent Aboriginal photographic artists.
