Winter 2015 update seminar: What’s the best strategy for managing (out) problematical employees?

Employee loyalty begins with employer loyalty. Your employees should know that if they do the job they were hired to do with a reasonable amount of competence and efficiency, you will support them. However, not all employees are competent, efficient or loyal.

Matt Gingell will cover the best strategy to manage (out) problematical employees, including:
–    Terminations in the first 2 years
–    The poor performance route
–    Redundancy/restructuring route.

Alex Kleanthous will discuss recent cases in employment law, including:
–    Conduct dismissals and how to manage them safely
–    Whistleblowing – increasingly popular to evade the 2 year rule on unfair dismissal
–    Tax traps in settlement payments

Seminar speakers:
Matt advises organisations and individuals on HR matters including grievance and disciplinary procedures, redundancy situations, restrictive covenants and TUPE. Matt also writes for publications including The Independent and City A.M.

Alex works across a range of sectors for companies and individuals and focuses on resolving shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, commercial disputes and employment disputes.
