WHSmith Turns to Montgomery & Associados for Assistance on Brazilian Market Entry
The most famous British high street retailer and airport convenience store chain WHSmith has turned to Montgomery & Associados for legal and tax assistance on entering the Brazilian market. WHSmith have formed a joint venture with Duty Free Americas (DFA) to open a number of convenience store at RioGaleão, the international airport in Rio de Janeiro, which in 2016 recorded a flow of more than 16 million passengers.
WHSmith operates a global network of more than 280 international tores outside of the United Kingdom. The opening of the stores at RioGaleão results from the British company’s airport convenience store expansion strategy, which recently also included opening 8 stores at the Madrid airport.
