WEBINAR – Apparel Classification Series: Recreational Performance Outerwear

The Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act signed into law in 2016 created hundreds of new provisions in Chapter 62 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States for recreational performance outerwear. This webinar will examine these classifications, which ones importers should never use (and why), and the new recordkeeping requirements for importers of these goods. The webinar will also review the new terminology introduced by the TFTEA that companies importing woven jackets, pants, and other garments must understand to classify their products accurately, including the following.

Key Topics

  • water-resistant
  • treated with plastics
  • critically sealed seams
