UPDATE: Russia’s non-working week – How is the situation from legal perspective?

Taking into account today’s recommendations by the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, we updated our information on how the situation with the non-working week in Russia from March 30 to April 3, 2020 can be handled from the legal perspective. Just few hours ago the press secretary of the Russian President has announced a clarification regarding the non-working days in the next week: Subject of discussion are not holidays or days of vacation in the classical sense of the word. The non-working days have been introduced in order to maximally reduce contacts, contacts between people. Those, who are up to now working at distance should continue to work in the next week as they have done up to now.” >Based on the above we recommend to follow the above which means that working at distance can be continued.

PS: in addition please find the following news just published at https://www.kommersant.ru, according to which the Kremlin welcomes remote work if such possibility exists. It has been a statement of the press secretary Mr. Peskov, so not an official legal act but still interesting in terms of interpretation.
