When the planet and businesses fire up again after COVID-19, the travel industry will be looking to get back in the air ASAP…
We will fly and load up the planes as we previously did, otherwise, airlines will not be an economic proposition…
What…? I hear you say… sit next to one another on a plane? Yes, that is what we will do…
Now you must be thinking, How…?
Well, if you ask me, I believe the airports will become the ‘health bubble’… We will make the airports a place where all the testing and checking of people will be implemented and it will be right at the entry into the airport. In fact, it will most probably be the healthiest travel we have ever done, as no one with the flu or flu-like symptoms will be able to travel. Everyone will have a clean bill of health and if there is a sample percentage of people that get through with some kind of illness, then this will be the norm…
Fine mist spray on the way in, heat sensor cameras at the doors, proof of a clean bill of health may be required. The individual who is flying will book in and leave their luggage automatically… no human touch at all. The luggage will then be sprayed as it goes down into the depths of the airport and we can all resume the normal programme with food, shopping etc before we wave goodbye to our loved ones… Lastly, we then proceed through customs with further heat cameras and if all is clear then they can shop in the duty-free and board the plane just like before. If our family and friends want to see us off, then they will have to go through the same procedure.
We will also be checked at arrival and allowed out of the bubble, not dissimilar to the customs routine we do now, however, I believe this will all take place at the entrance of each and every airport in the world. That way getting on the plane will be easy and the same as it was before.
As said by Henry Ford ‘Nothing is particularly hard if you try it into small jobs.’ I think we should also always try and look for the simplest and easiest way to conquer any issue…
Do you think this would be the new world of travel…? I would love to hear your thoughts on the comments below on how this will pan out….
