The Anglo-Kazakh Association of Lawyers Established in Kazakhstan

The Anglo-Kazakh Association of Lawyers is being established in Kazakhstan. As a journalist of IA REGNUM states, on March 30 in Astana declared Kairat Mami, Chairman of Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, in the course of his conversation with Lord Mayor of London City John Stattard.

The Association is to become an important instrument in the cause of enhancing of interaction and cooperation of legal circles of Kazakhstan and the UK. As lawyers note, the activities of the new institution will favorably affect establishment and development of the Almaty Regional Financial Center. According to Kairat Mami all the lawyers, solicitors and judges of the country are invited to the Association. The idea of establishment of the Anglo-Kazakh Association of Lawyers was revealed a number of weeks ago at the seminar on issued of establishment of a specialized financial court in Almaty.  Then, the British and Kazakhstani lawyers signed a memorandum of understanding between the Association of Barristers of England and Wales and the Union of Solicitors of Kazakhstan. “What concerns the Association of Lawyers, it is the next step under activities in development of judicial procedures in the sphere of settlement of commercial disputes in Kazakhstan. Under the Association, contacts with lawyers of other countries are also possible as the Association activities are not limited only to Kazakhstan and the UK”, – Judge of the Supreme Court Anar Zhailganove said.
