SETTING UP OF DE BEDIN & LEE STUDIO LEGALE ASSOCIATO (ITALIA)

The lawyers formerly with the law firm of Magnocavallo e associati created a new firm integrating with an Hing Kong based law firm.

Milan, 1 July 2019 – A new law firm, de Bedin & Lee studio legale associato – integrating the lawyers formerly with Magnocavallo e associati with the Hong Kong law firm of de Bedin & Lee LLP – has been formed.  It is the first time that a law firm from Hong Kong has landed in Italy, creating a new legal platform integrated perfectly with Milan legal professionals.

De Bedin & Lee studio legale associato will count among its clients national and foreign companies, ranging from multinational companies to small and medium enterprises, including high income private clients who rely on the firm to assist them with wealth planning and other matters relating to their family business.

It assists clients in structuring their national and cross-border business operations, with a special focus on cross-border transactions involving, among others, Italy, Hong Kong and China, and advises clients across a range of industries, including, among others, the manufacturing, fashion, services, chemical, sports, editorial and advertising industries.

The firm’s lawyers have extensive experience handling a range of corporate and commercial matters, including merger & acquisitions, intellectual property, wills, including handling a range of court and arbitration proceedings.

We decided to merge our respective paths and, by doing so, create a new type of firm, which represents something unique in Italy, and where the modernity and the dynamism of the Asian continent can match perfectly with the efficiency, pragmatism and reliability of the Milanese culture. The goal is to offer our clients seamless cross-border assistance, with practical solutions, reliably tailored to meet the needs of our clients and in step with the times” stated Alberto Predieri and Marco Bisceglia, the two partners who gave birth to this new firm in Italy.

I am very proud and honoured to be a part of this new partnership. I believe it will strengthen our presence both in Asia and in Europe” declared Claudio de Bedin, who is currently in Italy for the launch of the new firm.

The new law firm will operate in Milan, relying not only on the wide network of professionals linked to the two firms, but also benefiting from the synergies with the Hong Kong law firm and opportunities created through its representative office in Chongqing, on the mainland in China, one of the biggest cities in the world.

Together with Predieri and Bisceglia, the of counsel Laura Mantelli, the associate Eleonora Favini, and the trainee Elisa Vurchio are also currently collaborating with the law firm.
