Ross Koffels speaks at the Global Legal Education Seminar and All India Seminar on Globalisation of Legal Service: Issues & Challenges in India
Ross Koffel of Koffels Solicitors & Barristers, Australia, was invited by Mr Pravin Parakh the President of the Confederation of the Indian Bar, to speak at the Global Legal Education Seminar in Bhubaneswar India on the 8th and 9th August 2015. On the 10th August he was also asked to speak at the All India Seminar on Globalisation of Legal Service: Issues & Challenges.
Bhubaneswar where the Global Legal Education Seminar was held, is a city about 450 km from Kolkata (Calcutta). It is the first time the conclave has been held outside a major city. The functions were held by the Confederation of the Indian Bar and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.
The most significant session was the Valedictory Session that was the last session of the first conference. There were 8 Supreme Court Judges present as well as State High Court Judges.
It attracted vast publicity and attached is a newspaper clipping as to the conference referring in the main to this session alongside the Speeches for the Valedictory session. You will see there were only 4 main speeches and Ross’s was number one which is great honour.
Attached are copies of Ross’s speeches for your review:
