Richard Chapman Presents Workforce Diversity Program for Equipment Leasing and Finance Association

Richard Chapman, Of Counsel at Clark Hill and member of Mindy Chapman & Associates, LLC, recently presented “Enhancing the Bottom Line-Employing a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce to Make a Net Difference” to industry leaders at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. Clark Hill is an active ELFA member. Chapman’s presentation detailed issues of implicit and confirmation bias and attrition, the competitive advantage to equipment leasing and finance organizations in having a diverse and inclusive workforce, and actions individuals in those organizations can take to contribute to the creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces. In addition to having an interactive discussion with ELFA participants, his presentation introduced ELFA’s new industry diversity and inclusion initiative ‘ELFA EQUALITY’ led by Ivory Consulting Corporation’s president and CEO, Scott Thacker. 

Chapman practices in Clark Hill’s Litigation and Labor & Employment groups. He has more than 37 years’ experience as a leading trial lawyer concentrating in business and employment litigation in federal, state and bankruptcy courts, as well as in arbitration, throughout the United States. Chapman conducts the session “Workplace Training that Clicks & Sticks™” to employees, managers, and c-suite leaders of closely-held and public corporations. The training includes “Workplace Tools for Managing the Law™,” “Workplace Tools for Preventing Harassment, Discrimination & Retaliation for Managers, Supervisors & Executives™” and “Diversity and Inclusion: A Conversation About Us.™”  He also conducts individual EEO training for company employees and managers.
