Carla is a founding partner whose main practice areas include Commercial, Corporate, M&A, Environmental and Energy law.

Before founding pbbr in 2010, she was a partner of ABBC & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados RL (March 2007-July 2010). She was a senior associate lawyer at Abreu Cardigos & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, RL (October 2005-February 2007), and associate lawyer at Oliveira, Martins, Moura, Esteves & Associados, sociedade de Advogados (formerly Belarmino Martins & Associados), correspondent Portuguese law firm of Landwell (July 1999-2004). Carla undertook an assignment at Landwell Jurídico y Fiscal (Barcelona) – Department of Electronic Commerce, Intellectual and Industrial Property, Computer Law and Data Protection (September-October 2000). She was a lawyer at Belarmino Martins & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, member of the European Economic Interest Grouping Correspondent Law Firms of Price Waterhouse EEIG (March 1996-1999). She was a lawyer at PLMJ – Sociedade de Advogados, RL (January 1993-March 1996) where she also carried out her training for admission to the Bar Association which she has been a member of since 1995.
Carla attended a post graduate course in Energy Law organised by the Law School, University of Lisbon in 2008 and a post graduate course in Information Society from the Lisbon University Law Faculty in 2000. She obtained her law degree from the Lisbon University Law Faculty in 1992.
