The NCBFAA Educational Institute in cooperation with the Office of Digital Initiatives at the Department of Commerce, invite you to attend a webinar on AES/EEI Regulations. During this webinar exporters will learn about the Automated Export System (AES), AES Direct, Filing Guidelines in ACE, as well as the FTR regulatory update. This webinar is for the intermediate U.S. small and medium-size business exporter.

Adrienne Braumiller is the founder of Braumiller Law Group PLLC and an innovative force in the international trade law arena. With more than 25 years of experience, she is widely recognized as a leading authority in Customs, import, export, foreign-trade zones, free trade agreements and ITAR compliance.
Adrienne has been involved in every aspect of import and export compliance, from developing compliance programs to conducting audits and assessments, representing clients who are under investigation, preparing and submitting voluntary disclosures, preparing and filing classification requests and licenses, analyzing whether specific transactions should be pursued, providing tailored training on specific import/export topics, addressing penalty assessments, and serving as an expert witness in a number of trade cases.

Joe Cortez, Senior Trade Advisor, Braumiller Consulting Group
A 35-year veteran of the U.S. Census Bureau, Joe’s expansive knowledge of cross-agency matters is a windfall to Braumiller Consulting clients. Joe served as the former International Trade Ombudsman and Chief for the Regulations, Outreach, and Education Branch with the United States Census Bureau’s International Trade Management Division. Joe’s deep regulatory knowledge stems from his years of working on regulatory matters pertaining to the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), the collection of the Electronic Export Information, Voluntary Self Disclosures, and the U.S. CBP penalty mitigation guidelines.

Gerard Horner (Jerry) Survey Statistician, Trade Regulations Branch, Government and Trade Management Division
Gerry Horner rejoined the Census Bureau (Census) in the Trade Regulations Branch in December 2019, where he is responsible for responding to Voluntary Self Disclosures filed by the trade, processing National Interest Determinations, Interagency Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding between Census and other federal agencies, and assisting in maintaining the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).
Prior to rejoining Census, Mr. Horner spent seven months in the private industry, working as the Director of Training and Onboarding for OCR services, a trade-compliance software provider.
Between 2006 and 2018, Mr. Horner worked for the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), where he led BIS’s data mining responsibilities, and was the liaison with Census and U.S. Customs and Border Protection on all matters related to the Automated Export System (AES) and the U.S. Government’s single window system – the Automated Commercial Environment.
Adam Nave, Survey Statistician – Data Collection Branch, Governments and Trade Management Division US Census Bureau
Adam Nave joined the US Census Bureau (Census), in the Data Collection Branch, in June 2015, as part of the Export Compliance Team. In that role, he is responsible for assisting the Automated Export System (AES) filers, sending nationwide broadcast emails to the trade community, and coordinating the annual AES Compliance Review program. Prior to joining Census, Mr. Nave spent seven years as a high school math teacher. Adam has a Master’s degree in Mathematics, and particularly enjoys the statistical analysis.
