Minerva Trust & Corporate Services Limited (‘Minerva’), a family-owned fiduciary business that has been in existence for over 35 years, is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Sean Costello to its Global Business Development team.
Based in the UK and traveling to both India and the Gulf regularly, Sean’s prime responsibility will be to work closely with Minerva’s global offices in order to grow the London, GCC and India client base through his extensive professional contacts and key knowledge of these markets.
Sean has over 15 years’ experience, including 11 years working for two of the world’s leading ‘Big 4’ firms, (PwC and Deloitte) in marketing communications and business development roles, across the firms’ accountancy, tax and management consulting practices. He was most recently Jersey Finance Limited’s Head of Business Development for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and India. As the senior representative for Jersey in these two regions, Sean headed up offices in both Abu Dhabi and Mumbai, where he was responsible for promoting Jersey’s finance industry.
While based in Abu Dhabi, his professional roles saw him interact at the most senior levels with Sovereign Wealth Funds, strategic investment firms, family offices and private banks, where he acted as the lead relationship director. Sean was a committee member of the British Business Group and worked very closely with UKTI across the Gulf on a variety of strategic initiatives. He is a current member of the UAE advisory board of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Sean is a Chartered Marketer and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR UK). He is a former regional Chairman of the Professional Marketing Forum International and a Business Leader of the Marketing Society (UK). He is a national CIPR President’s award winner for strategic internal communications. Sean also holds a Master’s Degree from the University of London and postgraduate teaching qualification from Durham University.
