He is a former healthcare executive and Licensed Psychologist who has received multiple awards, including a feature in an Inc. “Entrepreneur of the Year” issue. Here he talks to Finance Monthly about healthcare M&A and the future of the sector.
Your firm specialises in the healthcare sector, primarily advising on sell side transactions – what trends in healthcare M&A activity do you see developing in the next 12 months?
The M&A marketplace remains very strong in a variety of healthcare verticals in the US and elsewhere. For diverse reasons, we believe this activity could accelerate through the end of 2015 and much of 2016, as well. Some of the highest multiples in the lower middle market can be found in behavioral health/substance abuse treatment, durable medical equipment and medical devices, home care and hospice, specialty pharmacies contract research organisations, and all services and products that focus on leveraging technology including revenue cycle management.
