After completing his studies at the University of St. Gall (HSG), Martin Wepfer moved to a position as assistant in private law at the University of Basel. Following his bar exam in Basel in 1997, he worked in the legal department of a large international auditing and consultancy company (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Basel for five years.
Since 2003, he has practised law with a focus on corporate law transactions, (international) contract law, life sciences, insolvency and debt restructuring law, litigation and arbitration as well as stock exchange and capital market law. Further, he is a member of the board of directors of the Historical and Antiquarian Society of Basel and of the foundation Pro Augusta Raurica.
