Mutakela took over the business of Lisimba and Company from now Justice Munalula Lisimba (now retired Judge of the Supreme Court for Zambia) in the year 2001 when the latter joined the bench. Mutakela is an accomplished litigator having handled several matters in both the High Court and Supreme Court of Zambia.
Mutakela has also got vast experience in Commercial transactions including Commercial Tax Litigation and corporate advisory work and handled several property transactions. He is well vested in Real Estate and Conveyancing practice. He has also handled numerous consultancies and given professional guidance to various corporate as well as individual clients.
