Jean Legault is a former member of the firm’s Board of Directors and was, from 2010 to 2012, co-coordinator of the Commercial Litigation, Banking Law and Insolvency team, which includes more than 25 lawyers.
He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial litigation and specializes in banking and insolvency law. Mr. Legault acts primarily for financial institutions, institutional investors and trustees with respect to restructuring and insolvency matters. More precisely, he designs intervention strategies, cooperates in the financial restructuring of failing businesses and regularly represents clients before the courts, protecting their interests and exercising their rights and recourses. Mr. Legault also has long-standing experience in handling major files or files where targeted interventions are required.
In addition, he prepares and gives professional development courses for clients and is frequently a speaker at conferences on bankruptcy and insolvency law and the law of security.
