On Saturday, February 16, Charles Sturt University Alumni Cambodia Association hosted their second seminar on the “Women Bright Program” under the theme of “Strive for The Future” at Hun Sen Phnom Srouch High School in Kompong Speu Province.
The association invited Khieu Mealy, Partner at SokSiphana&associates (a member of ZICO Law), along with two other guest speakers to share their knowledge and experience of being a woman in a professional industry with 250 students at Hun Sen Phnom Srouch High School.
Khieu Mealy said, “We live in a time where opportunities for women in professional sectors are steadily rising. I hope by speaking to female students, I can help inspire them to follow their dreams and pursue their passions by studying in higher education and becoming the next generation of Cambodian professionals.”
The Women Bright Program is a program that aims to provide resources to encourage young girls in pursuing higher education and preparing them for their future.
Charles Sturt University Alumni Cambodia Association was founded in 2016 by the Charles Sturt University alumni in Australia under the registration with the Ministry of Interior. The goal of the association is to provide educational resources to Cambodian youth in preparation for their future. They work closely with other local universities to get scholarships for prospective students. The association has also been in collaboration with other communities such as Chamber of Professionals and Micro-Enterprise, and Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA).
