JONATHAN THALHEIMER ELECTED TO GOVERNING COUNCIL OF STATE BAR OF TEXAS’ REAL ESTATE, PROBATE AND TRUST LAW SECTION
Veteran real estate and finance lawyer Jonathan Thalheimer has been selected by legal peers to the governing council of the State Bar of Texas’ Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law (REPTL) Section. Mr. Thalheimer’s election at the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section’s annual meeting in San Antonio marks his latest selection to leadership positions in regional and national professional organizations for attorneys representing clients in commercial real estate, and real estate and construction-related finance transactions.
“I’m proud to be a longtime supporter of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section, which is one of the state bar’s largest and most active groups,” Mr. Thalheimer said. “I’ve seen firsthand how this group promotes high standards and best practices in this complex and dynamic area of law, and I’m looking forward to this new opportunity to share my experience and contribute in this position.”
A shareholder in McGuire, Craddock & Strother’s highly respected commercial real estate law group, he is a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA), serves as its Texas State Chair, and as the Co-Chair of its Capital Markets Committee. He also serves as the Chair of the Capital Markets Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). Mr. Thalheimer is one of only three Texas lawyers to have been elected a fellow of both the ACMA and ACREL. Most recently, he was selected by peers for inclusion in the 25th edition (2019) of the Best Lawyers in America for real estate.
