IPR Enforcement: Bar Code Readers, Audio Processing Hardware, Mobile Electronic Devices

Bar Code Readers. The International Trade Commission has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1061 of bar code readers, scan engines, products containing the same, and components thereof without the imposition of import restrictions. This action is based on a license and settlement agreement between the respondents and complainants Honeywell International Inc., Hand Held Products Inc., and Metrologic Instruments Inc.

Audio Processing Hardware. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1026 of audio processing hardware, software, and products containing the same without the imposition of import restrictions. This action follows the ITC’s determination of no violation of section 337.

Mobile Electronic Devices. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1065 of mobile electronic devices and radio frequency and processing components thereof with respect to two patent claims asserted by complainant Qualcomm Incorporated based on its withdrawal of allegations pertaining to those claims.
