Inspire pledges its continued support to three local charities for 2021
Inspire is delighted to announce that it will be supporting three local charities, as part of its fundraising activities this year.
First up is Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, a charity that the firm has supported for many years. The Inspire team will continue to take part in a number of fundraising initiatives, activities and challenges for the well-known Dorset and Wiltshire charity. Last year, several of the Inspire team took part in the charity’s virtual Everest Expedition and in previous years have completed various team and individual fundraising challenges. Inspire Founder, Warren Munson was a trustee of Julia’s House for six years from 2015.
Inspire’s second charity partner for 2021 is MYTime Young Carers. The Poole-based charity has a mission to level the playing field for the regions young carers, by providing then with support, friendship and opportunities. Having supported the charity for the last six years, Inspire will continue to work closely with the team at MYTime and many of the team will once again be supporting MYTime events and activities, helping to support young carers.
A new addition to Inspire’s charity support for this year, is Dorset Mind. With the sad passing away of former Inspire colleague Robin Witt, in December 2020 with a rare form of dementia, the team wanted to raise funds for the charity that helped support Robin and his family.
Warren commented: “As a team we’re passionate about giving back and supporting local charities. This year, in particular, it’s very important to us to not only do more together as a team, when we can, but to offer our support in whatever way we can, as everyone starts to return to a more normal life as we ease out of the lockdown restrictions.
“Following the sad passing away of Robin at the end of last year, we all wanted to do something to help one of the charities that helped Robin and his family during such a difficult time. Robin was a much-loved and respected member of the Inspire team and we’re really looking forward to doing something in his memory later this year.
“We will all be taking part in a number of fundraising and volunteering activities to support our charity partners in the coming months – and with some dedicated runners, cyclists and hikers in the team, there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved!”
Caroline Attreed, Corporate Fundraiser at Julia’s House, added: “Julia’s House would like to say a massive thank you to Warren and everyone at Inspire for the fantastic continued support over the last six years. You have enabled us to keep caring for some of the most vulnerable local families, and we are delighted to hear that you have chosen to support us again in 2021 with your fundraising activities.
“The situation with Covid has had a devastating effect on our income, and it means so much to know that because of you, the families we care for will continue to receive the support and help they so desperately need.”
Founded by Warren Munson in 2004, Inspire’s goal is to establish the firm as a true employer of choice to ensure it attracts, engages and retains the top talent in its profession.
Last year, Inspire was awarded Medium Firm of the Year by the industry’s Accounting Excellence awards.
