Infocredit Group is delighted to announce that it will be organising The Corporate Governance Conference, powered by the company’s strategic partner, ICSA: The Governance Institute. The conference will take place on Friday, 5th of May at the Hilton Cyprus.

 

The aim of the conference is to identify and examine international and local developments relating to Corporate Governance and how these developments affect Cyprus. The conference will bring together local and international professionals that will assess the current status along with the future prospects of the Cyprus business sector.

 

The event will host high profile speakers from Cyprus and abroad who will discuss the significance of Corporate Governance within an organisation, best practices, business ethics and how to build a culture of Compliance.

 

The event is addressed to Board members, CEOs and managing directors as well as senior executives of the biggest corporations in Cyprus, partners from audit/accounting/law firms, fiduciary and corporate service providers and media representatives.

 

Keynote Speaker to the event will be Simon Osborne, the CEO of ICSA. ICSA: The Governance Institute is the professional body for governance in the UK. With 125 years’ experience, ICSA works with regulators and policy makers to champion high standards of governance and provide qualifications, training and guidance.

Keynote Speaker: Simon Osborne, CEO at ICSA

 

Simon is Chief Executive and a Fellow of ICSA, as well as being a solicitor. He brings first-hand knowledge and understanding of the practical and personal aspects of the operation of boards and how to identify performance improvements. Until April 2003, Simon’s career was in the British railway industry as general counsel, company secretary and latterly a main board executive director. From January 2005 until October 2011 (when he became Chief Executive of ICSA), Simon chaired ICSA’s Company Secretaries Forum, which comprises mainly company secretaries from FTSE 250 companies. He is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network, serving on the Business Ethics and (as chair) the Bylaws & Procedures Committees.
