Monthly Average of Newly Registered Entities in Cyprus

In 2014 the new registrations in companies recorder a slight decrease of 2.43% when compared to average monthly new registrations of 2013.
 
The total number of Registered Entities had a 6.64% decrease. This decrease is mainly due to the write off of companies from the registrars Archive.
 
2014 is the first year since the creation of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver which compared to the previous year, the Registered Entities showed a decrease in the total number of registered entities

Cyprus 2014 (until 30/9/2014) Bankruptcy and liquidation. Cypriot family companies still facing a crisis? 

Individual Bankruptcies- Statistic results showed that a total of 107 individuals (13.3 average monthly) declare bankruptcy until 30/9/2014, while the number in total for last year was at the average of 30.3 individuals per month. The biggest result was recorder in 2009 with 110 individuals per month! 

Companies Liquidation- Last year ended with a number of 189 (15.75 average monthly) companies in liquidation in Cyprus, while by the end of September 2014 the number was at 115 (14.3 average monthly), generating a meeting point between individuals and companies

 Many family businesses operating in Cyprus and the above meeting point generates a big question, does the bankruptcies of individuals related with the liquidation of local companies or vice versa?
