Gordon Gouveia Appointed to Two-Year Term on Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee

CHICAGO, IL, July 5, 2016 – Following a competitive selection process, Gordon Gouveia has been appointed a member of the Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois for the 2016-2018 term.

The Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee was formed to promote communication about bankruptcy court procedures, etiquette, filings and other issues, and to assist the court and attorneys in creating a more efficient environment.

The Committee develops and sponsors education programs concerning issues that affect judges, attorneys, financial institutions and consumers. The Committee also creates social opportunities to allow greater interaction between the court and those who appear before it.
