Five Tucker Ellis Attorneys Elected to Partnership – January 2019

Michael Adelsheim focuses on intellectual property law matters, including the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patent applications, strategic intellectual property planning, and patent portfolio management for both established and start-up clients. He represents clients in areas including software, middleware, networking, blockchain, multidimensional databases, consumer electronics, sensor and signal processing, cloud computing, data storage, audio/video, and mechanical devices. Mr Adelsheim received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He earned his undergraduate degree cum laude in physics at California Polytechnic State University.

James Hemmings represents clients including pharmaceutical and medical device companies, consumer and industrial product manufacturers, industrial chemical suppliers, and national universities at all levels of state and federal courts. He has managed or participated on trial teams in mass tort proceedings, multidistrict litigation, and class actions relating to product liability and another tort, consumer fraud, insurance, antitrust, RICO, and breach of contract matters. Mr Hemmings received his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He also holds a master’s degree from The University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.

Erica McGregor focuses her practice on estate planning, federal wealth transfer taxation, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, and charitable planning. Ms McGregor is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. She received her law degree from Boston University School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan.

Tom Peppard is a corporate and transactional business attorney. He advises public and privately held companies – with a particular focus on middle-market clients – in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distributing, information technologies, marketing, consulting, industrial services, financial and professional services, construction and material handling, transportation and logistics, healthcare, and consumer goods. Mr Peppard earned his law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his undergraduate degree at Miami University.

Seth Wamelink represents businesses in complex civil litigation throughout the United States. He practices primarily in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, and construction litigation. Mr Wamelink also serves as national counsel for companies in a variety of litigations. He received his law degree cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Miami University.
