Oklahoma Governor’s International Team 2016 Consular Summit

October 2016 – OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – State and local officials, business leaders and partners of the Oklahoma Governor’s Intentional Team kicked off the 2016 Oklahoma Consular Summit with an October 5th evening reception at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City before meeting early the next morning at the Skirvin Hotel for a breakfast briefing on Oklahoma’s international trade and education ties. Consul General’s from various countries were hosted by Governor Mary Fallin as she addressed the many opportunities between their countries and Oklahoma.

 

The Gathering with American Indian Chamber of Commerce

October 2016 – TULSA, OK –  The American Indian Chamber of Commerce held a conference regarding economic development within tribal communities. This conference in Indian Country is solely dedicated to helping Indian owned businesses with informative and interactive sessions designed to help grow their companies, as well as; several networking opportunities. Eric was asked to speak at a breakout session about an “Overview of International Trade Resources in Oklahoma” with Ashley Wilson, US Intl. Trade Administration OKC Office; Tony Cambas, OSU Center for Trade Development; Steve Beleu, OK Dept. of Libraries. Topics included exporting and an overview of trade resources in Oklahoma.

 

Chinese Delegation Visit to Oklahoma

November 2016 – OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –  Congressman Steve Russell, representing Oklahoma’s 5th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives, invited Oklahoma business leaders from the Oklahoma District Export Council and other industries to meet with a Chinese delegation from Houston and Washington, D.C. The delegation included Minister Li Kexin and Minister-Counselor Zhang Min from the Chinese Embassy in Washington, together with colleagues from the Chinese Consulate-General in Houston and Chinese business leaders from Sinopec Group which has representation in Oklahoma.The group met with Lt. Governor Todd Lamb at the State Capitol to discuss future economic opportunities and encouraging Chinese investment in the state.
