Diaz Reus International Law Firm & Alliance (DRT) Earns Law360’s #1 Diversity Spot for Second Consecutive Year
Miami, FL – September 2, 2020 – For the second consecutive year, Diaz Reus International Law Firm & Alliance (DRT) announces that it has been ranked #1 in Law 360’s “2020 Diversity Snapshot”, in the category of law firms with 100 or fewer attorneys.
The survey shows that the U.S. legal industry as a whole continues to struggle with a lack of significant diversity among law firms, most notably in leadership positions, where less than ten percent of equity partners identify as racial or ethnic minorities. By contrast, nearly fifty-five percent of DRT’s attorneys and half of its equity partners are minorities.
“The importance of diversity has always been paramount to DRT,” stated Michael Diaz, Jr., Managing Partner and Founder of the firm. “We recognize that when we bring a diverse group of lawyers together, we are then afforded many different perspectives, which enhances both our culture and the unique and creative representation we can offer to our diverse and international client base.”
This diversity award follows the recognition of DRT’s Administrative Managing Partner, Marta Colomar-Garcia, as one of South Florida’s most distinguished female professionals by South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW). The Prestigious Women Awards recognizes top leaders in the tri-county area who have created business success stories and provided leadership to women and the broader community. The awards are based on nominations by the public and SFBW research.
