On April 12, 2020 (the “Petition Date”), Pace Industries, LLC and ten of its affiliated companies (collectively, the “Debtors”) each filed a voluntary petition for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The Debtors are represented by Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as lead counsel, and Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP as Delaware counsel.  The case has been assigned to the Honorable Mary F. Walrath. A hearing on the Debtors’ first day motions was held on April 14, 2020. The response date for the committee questionnaire is April 22, 2020 at 4:00 pm.

This is a prepackaged bankruptcy. Headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Debtors conduct business through nine die casting manufacturing plants (seven in the United States and two in Mexico), two tool and die shops, and two painting and finishing shops. The Debtors’ die cast plants manufacture complex engineered aluminum, zinc, and magnesium die cast and finished products according to customer-supplied proprietary engineering, design, and measurement specifications. Similarly, through their tool and die shops, the Debtors sell custom-made steel die cast dies and tooling used to manufacture die castings. Finally, through their painting and finishing facilities, the Debtors offer custom painting and finishing services for both die cast parts and parts manufactured through other processes according to customer-provided specifications. The Debtors also operate a number of plastic injection molding machines to produce parts for customers of its Port City Group Division.
