I have been keeping you updated on what we have been doing throughout the Coronavirus outbreak to ensure that our level of service to you remains at as high a standard as possible, and that we are providing you and your family with the support you require at this most challenging of times. It goes without saying that we also need to do what we can to ensure the safety and good health of colleagues and our community.
With this in mind, and following the very clear guidance from the UK and Scottish Governments, all our offices are closed with immediate effect.
As I outlined previously, we remain available to you via email, telephone and video conferencing. Most of us have now been working from home for over a week and while we all get used to different ways of working and communicating, I hope that you have been able to communicate effectively with your Turcan Connell advisers. Please do of course let me know of any concerns or issues you may have in order that we can address these.
I would ask that you continue to correspond with us by telephone or email and that, for now, you do not send us anything via the post, including cheques, as we will have no immediate means of dealing with this. Your usual Turcan Connell contact is available via their email address or telephone number. Alternatively, you can contact us at [email protected]. In an emergency, you can use the number 07816 850961.
As much of business and social interaction will be taking place digitally over the coming weeks, we all need to pay extra attention to cyber security, and we have this under constant review. Please be aware that criminals are attempting to exploit the Coronavirus outbreak by encouraging people to connect to remote services via email or sending text messages, for example, purporting to relate to HMRC tax rebates. We all need to be extra vigilant. If you have any concerns regarding the veracity of any communication from us please contact us immediately.
As all of us live through these unparalleled times, we stand ready to support you, so please do not hesitate to be in touch so that we can help in any way we can.
I hope that you and your family stay safe and I will, of course, keep you updated as we move through this situation.
