John P. Formichella is a partner at Blumenthal Richter & Sumet (BRS), having practiced with the firm since 2005. Prior to joining BRS, John was an attorney at Minter Ellison practicing out of the firm’s Bangkok offices in the corporate practice group from 2001 – 2005. Prior to joining Minter Ellison, John was Vice President/General Counsel of WHEREVER.net Holding Corporation (a NASDAQ listed telecom company based in Hong Kong), and was an associate for the East West International Law Offices in Taipei, Taiwan from 1996-1999. John practices in the areas of Telecommunication Media Technology, Corporate, Regulatory Compliance, Due Diligence, Employment Law, and general commercial agreements with jurisdiction experience covering Thailand, India, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Laos. John has been a recommended lawyer by both the Legal 500 and Chambers in Telecommunications, Media, and Technology sector. John graduated from the State University of New York (Buffalo) earning a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts (Economics), and a Juris Doctor degree. John also studied at the Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Bangkok. John is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
