A recent report has revealed the potential for Australia’s dairy export to explode over the next 5 years providing an excellent opportunity for overseas businesses to tap into this lucrative market.
The continued growth in demand for Australia’s dairy products in countries such as Japan and Singapore are particularly relevant for cheese manufacturers where close to one quarter of cheese manufactured in Australia is destined for Japan alone. These key export markets are expected to remain stable over the next two to three years in regions such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Australian dairy product export revenue will grow at an annualised 5.2% over the five years through 2018-19, driven largely by growth in Asia-Pacific markets. This just backs up the fact Australia is and will continue to be, a great food bowl for the world.
