Show more +Hugh has a broad practice focused on work in the areas of Property, Corporate Finance, Company and Commercial Law and Insolvency. Hugh obtained a BCL from University College Cork and qualified as a solicitor with a leading commercial and banking practice and is a co-founding partner of the firm. He has also obtained diplomas in Commercial Conveyancing, Trust and Estate Planning and Aviation Finance and Leasing.
Hugh acts for and advises companies, partnerships, pension funds, investors, developers and private individuals on the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposal of commercial property.
Hugh is a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners and also provides advice across a broad spectrum of insolvency and restructuring matters, acting for insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders, lenders, borrowers and other stakeholders on a wide range of insolvency and restructuring issues particularly those involving property and property related assets.
His commercial work also involves advising on company fund raisings, company exits, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, joint ventures and shareholder and boardroom dispute resolution. Hugh advises clients from initial start up to growth and development transactions, whether by equity or debt funding, acquisition or joint venture, reorganisation or restructuring, disposal via sale or buyout. Hugh works with an array of corporate borrowers including start-ups, fast-growth businesses and established companies. Hugh also works with private lenders and investor funds and consortia in advising on secured and unsecured lending transactions.
Hugh is also regularly retained to act in resolving commercial disputes and his litigation and dispute resolution work has involved acting in disputes relating to fraud and fund mismanagement, property, construction, insolvency, insurance, banking, company law, partnerships and Financial Services Ombudsman complaints.
