Clemens studied in Vienna, London and Stockholm. He spent four years as an assistant professor at the Department for Civil Law at the University of Vienna. He then went on to work for several renowned commercial law firms before becoming a partner at Völkl Rechtsanwälte in 2010.

In addition, he is a lecturer at the Institute of Civil and Business Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, speaker at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the Anwaltsakademie (Austrian Lawyers’ Academy), as well as the author of several specialist books and more than 50 articles in journals. Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Vortragender unter anderem der United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, der Anwaltsakademie, Autor zahlreicher Fachbücher und über 50 Beiträgen in Fachzeitschriften.

In addition, he is a member of the permanent neutral arbitration tribunal of the Austrian Football Bundesliga.
