Clinton’s practice focuses on corporate finance and commercial transactions, including public offerings and placings, structuring, mergers & acquisitions, takeovers, cross-border corporate transactions, financing and security transactions, licensing matters and regulatory compliance.
Clinton was originally qualified in Queensland, Australia prior to moving to and qualifying in Hong Kong. Since moving to Hong Kong Clinton’s capital market experience includes acting for both issuers and sponsors in respect of listings on both the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Growth Enterprise Market in Hong Kong as well as Hong Kong advisor in respect of AIM and ASX listings and takeovers. Clinton has acted across a number of sectors for equity capital raising including education, mining and resources, retail, fund, infrastructure and financial services.
Clinton’s M&A practice has covered a range of sectors and clients including, financial and fund services, health and medical, mining and resources, automobile manufacturers and dealers, information technology and media. He has a particular emphasis on the information technology sector including advising structuring, capital raising and disposal of VPN and data centre businesses in the Greater China region. Further, during his career, Clinton has worked with companies in the mining and minerals sectors on a variety of deals with assets across a multitude of jurisdictions including Peru, Australia and the PRC. Such transactions encompass a broad spectrum including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and takeovers.
