INTRODUCTION
AAC Kenya is an independent Accountancy and Audit Practice, providing a myriad of services on all aspects of the profession. It was formed in 1980; Abdulwahid Aboo & Company had humble beginnings. In October, 2009, the company under the name AAC Kenya acquired two partners; Saima Mohamed Amin Bagha and Zulfiquarali S Aboo; both ACCA qualified and members of the institute.

How We Work
- We discuss client needs and objectives with the management free of charge and without any obligation on part of management. We prepare a comprehensive proposal which specifies the work to be undertaken, the qualifications and experience our team and the budgeted cost of undertaking the assignment.
- We break-down our work into well defined and manageable stages. This ensures that client management can monitor our progress and control the cost effectiveness of our work throughout the assignment.
- We are aware of the importance of implementation to the success of any assignment. We provide continuing support through secondments and follow-up visits, in such areas as systems development and staff training.

We have structured our practice to provide our clients with the most efficient services and to achieve the most effective results. With branches in Mombasa, Malindi, Nairobi, and Lamu ,we manage to provide timely and effective services to our clients spread over a wide geographical area.
Our experienced professionals specialize in their respective areas. We also understand the importance of early completion of the audit and reporting requirements. Issue of management and internal control letters indicating any weaknesses noted in our clients internal control or accounting systems is done, and suggestions offered to improve operations where possible. He completed ACCA in 2003 and became a CPA in 2004. He joined the firm in October 2003.as manager of our Malindi Office
Attained partnership in August 2009. He handles the tax authorities and is very well versed with tax matters also.
Mrs. Saima Amin Bagha. FCCA, CPA (K), CPS
She completed ACCA in 2001 and joined AAC Kenya and moved on to complete CPA and CPS. She started the AAC Kenya Nairobi branch in August 2005.
Later on in February 2008 got married and left for USA where she joined a Russell Bedford group firm in Houston also sat for the American CPA.

He was the founder of the firm. Retired in 2015 and now serves the firm in a consultancy capacity. He has been in the audit and tax consultancy field for more than 40 years. Has been a council member of ICAPK ( Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya) for the last 10 years, and has served on various committees and board across East Africa. He is highly adaptable, motivated and conversant with International financial regulation changes and amendments.
Mrs. Shahida Elyas. FCCA, CPA (K)
She is the consulting manager for our Nairobi office; very versatile and highly professional. She can handle budgets very well. Joined the firm in September 2003 as an audit junior and has proven to be able to work under pressure.
Mrs. Rizwana Kadernani. ACCA, CPA (K), ICPAR, BSc IT
Audit Manager at the Mombasa office, she joined us in June 2009. She handles external audits and supervises the work of juniors and administration of the junior and senior staff.
Mrs. Sophyline Makau. CPA (K) , B Com (Ongoing)
Started as an audit senior at Abdulwahid Aboo & Company and now Audit Manager of the Nairobi branch at AAC Kenya. She has vast experience in the internal audit sector during her span of work time at Young Christian Association.
Mr. Luke Ebrahim Ayaga
Currently working at AAC Kenya as the Tax Manager, handling tax issues and queries, liaison with KRA, Training and interpretation of the VAT and Income Tax Act.
Mr. Nawaz Jin
Joined in 2009 as an Audit Manager at our Malindi branch offices. He is ACCA qualified. He has proven to be hardworking and diligent. He also liaises with KRA.

Publications
The business relationship that our firm has with its clients and the services we provide to them are a form of informing them about any new developments in their respective industries and also in the country’s economy. Apart from this, we also try and communicate as often as possible by publishing budget summaries and tax guides, and also holding seminars for their education and awareness.
Information Technology - Computerization
AAC Kenya also has resources to advise our clients on information technology matters regarding our business systems and operations. As all their accounting and audit work is done using computerized systems, high volume of work with relative accuracy is generated. AAC Kenya has over time also developed our own in-house excel templates for ease of financial statements generation.

Abduwahid Aboo is Auditor and recently retired Partner of AAC Kenya; a firm affiliated to Russell Bedford International (UK). If truth be told, his accomplishments are quite simply countless and priceless. There are however , some very notable achievements, you must take in hand if you want to explore his remarkable life with some modicum of success.
He is presently a member of the International Federation of Accountants Committee for Small and Medium Enterprises (IFAC), former council member for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), and of the National Board of Associated Accountants in Tanzania (NBAA) and also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) , and is an FCCA being at present on the Global Forum (Committee) for Audit and Governance.
He was a member of National Council at the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) for 3 years. He was also Vice-Chairrman of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), a regular member of the technical sub-committees, Chairman of the Coast Branch Committee of CPA for 2 years and Committee member for 11 years. Aboo has served as Chairman of the Coast Branch of ICPSK, an also ACCA Coast.

Mr. Abdulwahid Aboo started the firm as self employed under the name and style of Abdulwahid Aboo & Co. in February 1980. He worked in Price Waterhouse & Co. as an auditor in 1974 to 1978 and TSS Group as Chief Accountant cum General Manager in 1978-1980.
In September 2009 when Abdulwahid Aboo and Company was rebranded to AAC Kenya He served as the Managing Partner for the new firm.
In December 2015 he became Tax and Financial Consultant for AAC Kenya and took over business of Mombasa Company Secretaries as a Company Secretary. Mr. Aboo qualified ACCA in 1977 and Fellow in 1982, CPA (K) in 1979 and awarded Fellow in 1996 , CPS (K) in 1989 and Fellow in 2002, ICPAR (Rwanda) in 2008, ICPAU (Uganda) in 2012 and NBAA (Tanzania) in 2012.
Mr. Abdulwahid Aboo was awarded ACCA 2nd position in Kenya for contribution to the profession in 2009, FCPS awarded in 2003 and FCPA awarded in 1996.

ICPAK Work
Annual Seminar, Mombasa- I have been assisting in the sports activities, logistics, food control, golf game and council dinner arrangements all these years since 30 years.
ICPAK Council- Very many services over the years and many, many seminars attended, chaired many sessions and done many presentation.
ICPAK Complex Project- Am on the committee since 1st July 2014 and also task force member and have helped 'move' the project faster, in that, @ 43% June 2014 and @ 89% June 2015. I hope we finish in January 2016. There is work of refurbishing Block A and then Phase II still to do.
SMP/IFAC- Representing ICPAH since January 2012 and my term ends December 2016. I have now introduced CPA Mike Mbaya as my Technical Assistant and hope he takes over from me next year end.
Interests
Travel (have been to 68 countries for Round Table or personal holiday) & Sports.
