On behalf of the whole IR team, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who attended this fantastic event. We really enjoyed your company, spending quality time together in the fabulous city of Miami. For us northern Europeans, a few days in the sun was the thing we were most looking forward to. Although, we were less than impressed when it started raining before the gala dinner in Komodo. Thankfully the rain stopped before we ate!
This IR ‘On the Road’ Americas event was sold-out, attended by 170 members coming from 60+ jurisdictions around the world (including members from 26 US states).
The conference incorporated an extensive professional programme, looking at the relationship between Miami, other regions of the US, LATAM and globally.
We held regional US and LATAM meetings as well the inaugural ‘Think Tank’ session, where members shared their views on future group strategy. Local networking lunches and a ‘Speed Networking’ session where first time attendees
met more experienced members, was a particular highlight of the conference. As usual we hosted numerous practice area break-out sessions and high-profile speakers.
Socially, we started on Tuesday evening with a cocktail party with headline sponsor, Diaz Reus finishing with an excursion to the Everglades on Saturday. In between was a variety of events including the opening drinks reception and member hosted functions. The gala networking dinner was held at one of the hottest places in city, Komodo where we enjoyed Pan Asian fused with South Florida cuisine.
I know for many of you, the highlight of the whole event was the closing drinks party at Soho Beach House in the sunshine listening to the Cuban trio band. What a way to spend a few days together!
Within this pack, you will find details of all presentations, along with links to photos and video galleries. If you would like a high-resolution copy of any image, please let us know and we will happily send it on to you.
This was our first event of 2020, but we hope to see you again soon in Bangkok (April), Zurich (July) and London (Sept). If you want to book tickets for any of these events – just let us know.
Thanks for the memories!
