Don’t miss out on the second – and final – Self-Employment grant
If you’re self-employed or a member of a partnership and your business has been impacted by the pandemic, you may be eligible for a second Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) claim.
From next Monday, 17 August, you will be able to claim for the second grant, if your business has been adversely affected on or after 14 July 2020. You can make a claim for the second grant if you’re eligible, even if you didn’t make a claim for the first grant.
The scheme allows you to claim a second and final taxable grant worth 70% of your average monthly trading profits, paid in a single instalment covering 3 months’ worth of profits, capped at £6,570 in total.
You can check your eligibility for SEISS here. As with the first grant, HMRC will contact you if you are eligible and work out how much you will receive.
In order to claim, you will need the following:
- Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
- National Insurance number
- Government Gateway ID and password
- UK bank details
If you have any questions about SEISS or the claims process, the team at Inspire will be happy to help you.
