B&V Capital Advisors, LLC’s parent company, Briggs & Veselka Co. CPAs and Business Advisors, announced that Ilse Rew has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for overall firm operations and process improvement. For the past 11 years, Rew has operated a financial and business process consulting firm, where she served clients in the manufacturing, energy, real estate, professional services, and education industries.
“B&V Capital Advisors has grown over the past two years, currently with over 20 investment banking engagements, domestically and internationally,” said Sid Shaver, Senior Managing Director of B&V Capital Advisors, LLC and long-time member of IR Global. “We recognize the support Ilse will provide across the company.”

Prior to managing her consulting firm, Rew held operations, finance, and international tax positions in industry and in the accounting profession.
“Throughout the course of the interview process, I have been impressed by the desire of Briggs & Veselka management to want to improve their processes and systems for the challenges of today and of tomorrow.” Rew said. “With aggressive growth plans in the next three years, I’m hoping my contributions will be able to allow even greater focus on clients and service quality, already a hallmark of the firm.”
A native of South Africa, Rew has a B.Comm Law degree, an Honors degree in Transport Economics, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
During her studies, Rew had the opportunity to live with a judge as a rotary exchange student in Brazil, where her interest to study B.Comm Law initiated. Once back in Johannesburg, South Africa, Rew was hired by a private bank where she worked for five years in investment banking, which took her to the UK, Manhattan, and later, Houston.
While continuing to live in Houston with her family, Rew is still passionately involved in wildlife conservation efforts in Africa.
