Bona Law would like to Add a New Antitrust Attorney in either California or New York

Jarod BonaPartner, Bona Law PC

Our boutique antitrust law firm has a lot of work right now and we expect this to continue and even increase. You may have seen the announcement about our new antitrust (monopolization) and Lanham Act lawsuit in Colorado federal court. And that is just one of many cases, matters, and projects we have on our plate right now.

Fortunately, we have a strong team that can handle our workload; and we can easily expand quickly to add temporary team members with big-firm credentials as needed (which we have done). We also work with various third-party providers to assist with document review and other litigation-related tasks so we can fully leverage our attorney time.

But we have decided that we and our present and future clients would benefit if we were to add a full-time team member with outstanding experience and top credentials. You can read our announcement at the Bona Law website about the position we would like to fill.

Most likely, our candidate will arrive from a big law firm or government antitrust agency. We want to add someone with experience in an atmosphere where top-quality work is expected. And we view big law as our typical competition.

Our next attorney could work in either our California office or our New York office. Our cases are all over the country—with the help of a network of outstanding local counsel partners—and our clients come from all over the world. So we aren’t limiting our search to one or the other coast.

Ideally, we would like to find someone that is at the senior associate or junior partner level that is comfortable managing cases (with some help). But we certainly keep our eyes open for top talent at all levels. We like to give our attorneys substantial responsibility and look for people to add to our team that want that responsibility.

Writing is a big deal for us. In addition to our antitrust practicewe do a lot of appellate work. And we pride ourselves on the quality of our written product in all of our cases. We also expect our attorneys to write outside of their cases—for our law firm websitefor this antitrust blog, or for other outside sources. We strongly believe that such writing not only develops the attorney and his or her overall profile but improves his or her ability to write clearly for audiences that may not be full of antitrust attorneys.

Do you know someone that is a New York or California antitrust attorney that would like to move from their big firm or government agency position and join a growing boutique antitrust law firm that also runs a cool antitrust blog? If so, send him or her this article or our announcement on the Bona Law website. You are also welcome to tell us about him or her at [email protected].

And if you really want to help get the word out, please post one or both of these articles on social media.

Maybe you are that person? Maybe you are the perfect fit for our firm? If so, please send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to [email protected].

One final note: We have already received a lot of interest and resumes and I wish we could respond to each person. But, unfortunately, that isn’t possible. So if you send us information and we don’t respond, we apologize up front. Please don’t take it personally or as any sort of reflection of anything. We have received and will receive more interest from qualified attorneys than we can add to our team. That is, of course, a good problem to have, but we certainly don’t want to create any hurt feelings as looking for a new position can be a sensitive time. I anticipate that this won’t be the last time we will add to our team, so maybe we’ll find you next time around if this time doesn’t work out.
