The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, grantee of FTZ 78, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework, with a proposed service area of Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Macon, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson counties in Tennessee, within and adjacent to the Nashville U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. The application would have no impact on FTZ 78’s previously authorized subzones. Comments on this request are due no later than Sept. 4.
The FTZ Board has received from ModusLink Corporation a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within FTZ 244 in Riverside, Calif. ModusLink already has authority for the kitting of cameras and accessories into retail packages on behalf of Go Pro Inc., within this zone and the current request would add finished products and foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority. Comments are due no later than Aug. 15.
