Notification to business owners: A Mandatory Data Breach Notification Regime comes into effect on 22 February 2018.

As part of the Privacy Amendment Act 2017, the NDB scheme sets out obligations affecting businesses and not for profits with annual turnover of $3 Million or more; government agencies and some small business operators such as:  private health service providers, those that trade in personal information such as mailing lists, Tax File Number recipients, and those providing services to the Commonwealth under a contract.
