Wolfs Advocaten – First Blog on Amsterdam

John WolfsManaging Director, Wolfs Advocaten

Are you also excited to see Amsterdam? As a local, we are looking forward to meeting you.

Court

In Amsterdam the Enterprise Division deals with claims from shareholders towards companies as well as claims relating to mismanagement within companies. This Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the Netherlands for some aspects of these claims. Wolfs Advocaten has assisted individuals and companies before the Enterprise Division. Although we have tried to arrange for a visit, the Court was not able to show us around, unfortunately.

Restaurant

You may have heard of the 3 star Michelin Award winning restaurant De Librije in Zwolle. De Librije has a ‘sister’ in Amsterdam, conveniently named Librije’s Zusje (www.librijeszusje.nl). Definitely worth a visit! Librije’s Zusje is located within the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (http://www.hiltonhotels.com/nl_NL/nederland/waldorf-astoria-amsterdam). Make sure you pass on Wolfs’ greetings to sommelier Floris.

Visit

While in Amsterdam, make some time to visit the Rijksmuseum. After years of construction, the Rijksmuseum has reopened two years ago. The most famous Dutch painter Rembrandt is on display with his masterpiece ‘The Night Watch’. For more information go to www.rijksmuseum.nl.

Question

Who is the most famous Dutch soccer player originating from Amsterdam? Hint: he has played for Ajax and Barcelona.

Watch for our next update!

With kind regards,
