Werner Schierk studied law at the universities of Hamburg and Freiburg, Germany. 1975 admission to the bar; thereafter Mr. Schierk joined the legal department of Hapag-Lloyd AG, the German transportation and tourism group, became head of legal affairs of Hapag-Lloyd’s Airline in 1979 and in 1982 head of the tax department of Hapag-Lloyd Group.
Since 1983 Mr. Schierk is working as a free professional lawyer mainly in the aviation business. In 1994 he founded with Dr. Gudrun Bechtloff the law firm of Schierk & Bechtloff with offices in Hamburg and Berlin, however Werner Schierk and Dr. Gudrun Bechtloff already worked together in the law firm Dr. Schwarz, Schierk & Partner, specialized in aviation matters, since 1985.
Schierk & Bechtloff is a well-established law firm specialized in aviation law. The firm is based in Hamburg, Germany, with a branch office in Berlin.
