Christine Kranich, LL.M. (Golden Gate University, San Francisco) is an attorney admitted to the bar of Germany as well as to the State Bar of California, USA. Since she joined Schierk & Bechtloff in 2001 she advises clients on the sale, lease and financing of (new and used) aircraft, engines and other aviation aspects, including large commercial as well as private corporate aircraft. She has drafted and negotiated such contracts on the seller/lessor side as well as on the purchaser/lessee side.
Moreover, in relation to business aircraft she advises on management agreements (in respect of commercial as well as private operation) and tripartite agreements among the aircraft owner, aircraft operator and the bank providing financing to the aircraft owner.
In addition, she advises clients on aircraft insurance matters as on various other aviation related contracts, e.g. charter (passenger and cargo), wet-leasing (ACMI), ground handling, catering and conditions of carriage.
Further, she advises aircraft owners, aircraft operators as well as financial institutions in all matters relating to the registration of aircraft and aircraft mortgages in Germany with the German Civil Aviation Authority (“Luftfahrtbundesamt/LBA”) in Braunschweig, Germany, respectively the German aircraft mortgage register (“Luftfahrzeug-Pfandrechtsregister”) with the local court in Braunschweig, Germany.
