Mark Semenoff represents and counsels clients on the full range of statutory, regulatory and development issues related to complex and often controversial mining, energy, industrial and infrastructure projects. These projects include hard rock mining and mineral processing facilities; mine reclamation and re-mining activities; oil and natural gas production and transmission facilities; electric power generation and transmission facilities; and water and wastewater treatment operations. Many of these projects are located in post-conflict and emerging economies in Africa and Asia.
Mr. Semenoff’s domestic practice emphasizes regulatory and transactional counseling and representation involving the major federal environmental, mining, land use, public utility and natural resources laws and regulations with a particular focus on hard rock mining/mineral processing, mine reclamation and re-mining activities. Mr. Semenoff has represented clients in rule-making, adjudicatory and permit hearings before federal and state courts, the U.S. EPA and its Environmental Appeals Board, other federal agencies and before agencies, commissions and boards in numerous states including Colorado, Montana, Michigan, Nevada, California, Wyoming, South Carolina, Louisiana, Ohio, Arizona and Florida.
