George graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 1979 and obtained a Diploma in European Integration from the University of Amsterdam in 1980. His principal practice areas are Corporate and Civil Law. He acts as legal counsel to a number of local and international firms inter alia (ital) in the fields of transport, insurance and ICT. He is active inTransport Law advising a number of transport companies.
George is active in Immigration Law with strong links in China and South Africa and advises foreign companies to set up in Malta. George is currently Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Malta Arbitration Centre, director on the Board of the Malta Tourism Authority, member of thePermanent Court of Arbitration, and member of the Ethics Committee for Advocates. He is currently serving as Non-Resident High Commissioner of Malta to South Africa.
