Cyprus is to receive 100 Million Euros, within the framework agreed by the Cyprus government.
The additional funding was secured by the government back in June at the European Council under the EU Cohesion Policy. The money will be utilised for infrastructure projects across the island with the aim of tackling unemployment, Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides said in a written statement from the EU have started to pay off. The amount of 100 million Euros is included in the Agreement for the EU 2014 Budget and constitutes the first installment of the additional financial support amounting to 200 million Euros.
